[-'i̯æt], Sadik, persischer Schriftsteller, * Teheran 17. 2. 1903, ✝ (Selbstmord) Paris 9. 4. 1951; schilderte in seinen u. a. von E. A. Poe und F. Kafka beeinflussten Erzählungen und Romanen persisches Milieu (unter Einbeziehung der Umgangssprache), häufig unterster sozialer Schichten, mit gesellschaftskritischem Akzent und griff auch islamische Institutionen wie die Mehrehe an; er wirkte nachhaltig auf die spätere persische Prosa.
